we have to wait months if not years and never get a report. Nothing in my post suggests that, so please keep the hyperbole for someone else.

I specifically said, as soon as they have all the information (and they are saying they are still investigating) then give this type of presser. Trash everyone who deserves it and do it as soon as possible. To say they can wait a few days is not what you implied.
