So if farmers pay more, more workers will magically appear? With virtually no unemployment among entry level workers, if one farmer pays more and gets workers, another one loses them. Worker shortages cause lower supply, which causes inflation and shortages. Simple economics. For centuries immigrants have supplied the low income labor for this country. Remove the labor and the economy will suffer.
