Not knowing anything about the method…

I’m sure they have some documented algorithm for producing these rankings. So they can say the rankings are accurate and “factual” based on the algorithm.

But the list it produced is almost comical in terms of pitchers named and not named.

I don’t know how a human opinion poll that is more subjective in nature would rank Mizzou pitchers in relation to everyone else in the nation. There are tons of really good softball pitchers out there. Wouldn’t surprise me if that kind of ranking would not include our best pitcher in the top 25 or so in the nation, although I think McCann has the potential to be in that group.

I’m moderately optimistic that our pitching staff, while probably not having a person who will make the All SEC team, is going to be good enough and deep enough to put the team in a position for another top 16 seed and home regional, as long as the hitting support improves and several players step up to mitigate the loss of Honnold and Laird.
