Unless that is you think every team not destined to be in the sweet 16 “sucks”. Which is of course is a ridiculous standard.
No, they aren’t likely to make the sweet 16, but barring a total collapse, which isn’t likely, they are one of the best 30-35 teams in the nation and will make the NCAA tournament comfortably, probably in the 7-10 seed range depending on how they do from here on out. They came in yesterday with a NET ranking of 31 (which dropped to 34 today after we beat them).
For goodness sakes, not being able to enjoy and celebrate a good win over a much better team in the midst of a really bad season is just beyond me.
