Being tried and having information come out about him.
His pardons were NOT a product of a father's love for his son, or his brother, or his brother's wife or his other kids and their spouses. This was whispering Joe Biden, trying to ensure that his co-conspirators and corrupt partners were not going to spill the beans in court.
The interesting thing is as I understand it, that just because they have been pardoned does not mean they cannot be subpoenaed to give testimony about kindly old uncle Joe from Scranton.
And any lies they tell, contrary to what the great legal mind of the pickled idiot suggests, would make them susceptible to a perjury rap.
