There's no excuse for that since the SEC generates significantly higher ratings across the board and has more powerhouse brands (Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, A&M... over half the conference is a blue blood in at least one of the major sports).

Sankey is supposed to be some kind of genius, but he got PLAYED by ESPN... and now the SEC is stuck with a bad deal (compared to the B1G) for most of the next decade.
