There is so much money now, Once you are in the top 50 on the PGA Tour, you are basically guaranteed into all these huge events with no cuts and all the world ranking points from just playing in the events keeps you there.

LIV is the very exaggerated version of that. Even if you don't get a ridiculous signing bonus, one year of middle of the pack finishes, and you are beyond set for life.

Some guys will keep up the grind because they love it. Others will manage their schedule to only play in the huge money event and majors.
