the same way for thousands of years, that there can’t be a better way?
Why do I think it has been this way? Because people see government as a tool for power over others. And it is quite simple to convince people to support having that power. All you have to do is demonize other groups, convince them those other groups want to take something away or force something else on them. Then at the same time convince the group that they can use the force of government to stop other groups from doing things that they don’t like.
