players in foul trouble and lands them on the bench in which case you playing against the opponent's second string. It gives you player a free throw or two.
3 pt shot is lower percentage and rarely gets the opponent in foul trouble.
I thought Gates had figured that out. Apparently I was giving him too much credit.
