Russia was not a failed state under Czar Nicholas. Russia experienced tremendous growth in quality of life under his rule. What followed was the world’s largest prison disguised as a workers paradise. Only an idiot would prefer the ussr to the Romanovs, the reign of terror over the House of Bourbon, and world war 1 and 2 over the Hapsburgs.
