in his remarks that 3-point opportunities, particularly early in the possession, were the priority of the offense. Getting into the paint was not, unless it was for the purpose of collapsing the defense to create an open 3. Rebounding and free throws attempts were acceptable casualties of his system.

This year is clearly a departure from that system.

You could argue that the 2 systems were reflections of the personnel he had available, but I don't think you can say the offense we're running this year is the same one he tried to run last year.
