tomorrow at Auburn.

Both Missouri and Auburn are winless with 0-5 SEC records, so something’s gotta give, by default.

On paper this is one of the possibly winning games left on our schedule (along with road contests at TAMU and Arkansas). If any of those 3 games were at home I’d have a lot more confidence.

Auburns conference losses:

Ole Miss at home by 27
#5 LSU by 10 on the road
Arkansas by 1 at home
#12 Kentucky by 19 on the road
#7 Texas by 17 at home

Ole Miss isn’t ranked but has a NET rank of 15.

The stunner here was losing at home to an awful Arkansas team, who I still think is the worst team in the SEC, although some here may disagree. Izzy went off on them for 36 points, another player had 9, no other player had more than 4 points. Do we have any player who can go nuts and throw down 36 in a game? I don’t think so. But we clearly have more depth than Arky so maybe we have a shot tomorrow.

We come in with a NET rank of 74, while Auburn is at 59.

The WarrenNolan site projects us to finish 0-16 in SEC play, and Auburn at 4-12.

I thought we had our best game of the year at Oklahoma, except for the 5 minute blitz at the start of the second half we held our own against them and we weren’t that far off from it being a single digit loss against a far better team in a really difficult environment. Do we take anything away from that great effort?
