University Uses Accrual Accounting

The University, including the Tiger Athletic Department, uses accrual accounting, not cash.
The then SiD once told me all of the Tiger AD's cash receipts go into University accounts, all of its expenses are paid from University accounts and at the end of the fiscal year a net balance is computed and carried forward to the following year.
Essentiallhy, the Tiger AD does not have its own bank accounts. They are all in fact University accounts.
