We were saying the same thing, and likely both sides are correct. I do believe Nwaneri was asking for more NIL than we were willing to give based on what we had seen. Nebraska was desperate on the D-Line after recent loses they had just incurred and willing to pay more. Likely a similar case w/ Wilson, Mizzou was just willing to pay more than OSU/Georgia and he's likely a starter for Mizzou game one vs the others. This fits in w/ Drink's "pay for performance, not potential" guideline. We just weren't going to pay Nwaneri (rumored est of $650-$700k) when he hadn't earned or accomplished anything. Wilson is much more accomplished and has materially more experience.
Either way, it's the new world, and from what we've viewed so far, Drink and team have embraced it and we appear to be thriving in it! It's absolutely blowing the minds or UGA fans that they lost him to Mizzou!
