Pursuant to that mission, she hired the head coach of Cleveland State after coming off a first-round NIT loss and #197 final ranking in Kenpom.
She did the same thing with our baseball program, hiring a guy with an abysmal 76-95 career record coming off a losing 10-14 season at Memphis.
The basketball hire just ended a 21-game SEC losing streak.
The baseball hire just finished with the worst overall record in the SEC.
The only thing we can do is throw copious amounts of "NIL" money at the problem, hoping to out-talent the competition. But that's extremely expensive and diverts resources away from other programs in particular football.
