a no trade clause. There is absolutely no world in which Gruden would go back to the Raiders to coach, which is mainly what I was mocking. But, as far as his record as a coach after a 9 year lay off...he went 4-12, 7-9, and then 8-8. After he resigned, they made the playoffs under an interim coach. I'm assuming the Raiders were looking for a way to get out of his long contract after 3 subpar years as the coach and the Washington emails were their path to get rid of him.
