The only time I ever have problems

is when the snow plow beats me and leaves a big pile of frozen ice at the end of the driveway. Maybe a little problem on the sidewalk if a bunch of people already walked on it and compressed it.
But even then, I only have problems if I have it set up for single wheel drive. I can set up the second wheel to either spin freely, which makes it easy to turn, or be driven by the motor, which makes it do a great job of clearing anything but hard to turn. In two-wheel drive it will clear just about anything. I've done 18"-20" before with no problems.
This storm (in Columbia) was a very rare storm where there was a solid ice layer on the concrete under the snow. It's not going to clear that. That isn't what it is designed to do. But a sprinkle of salt is taking care of that for the most part.
