Many teams did not compete week 1 but our score was #5 of teams that did compete. LSU and Oklahoma were above us. I have read several articles regarding judges being reprimanded for the last couple of years of score inflation so perhaps our initial score reflects that.
Coach also stated he’s not necessarily putting up his best 6 right now but trying to get the newcomers acclimated. Our vault rotation has improved the number of 10 SV but the execution was poor and our beam looked significantly more promising so perhaps if we dial in we will be improved.
