The assault by several groups within the attack on the Capitol was conducted with participants placing one hand of shoulder of person in front of them. There is a name that escapes me now, but it is a militant/military technique, obviously planned prior to execution. Proud Boys also actually left the main group at the speeches - before or during Trump's speech to rush over to police barriers to break them down prior to the mass of the protestors.

Proud Boys et al had stand-up planning/operation meetings in private garages prior to their assaults, not quite the "tourists visiting the Capitol" that the Right has pushed.
