the variations of the rules is the speak they use simply to show the receiver has true possession.

I was listening to a radio show, and a guy gave a great alternative.

you put 5 defensive guys and 5 offensive guys in a room (or whatever you want). They each get a few views of the play both in real time and slow motion and vote. If a tie vote, it stands, otherwise go with the vote.
