dead of starvation by 1980 and countless other calamities that would essentially end civilization were destined to occur in the 1980’s. We needed forced sterilization, more taxes for government to control mankind (surprise surprise) and all sorts of other force on man to save Mother Earth. His population theories were fantastic nonsense.

The earth first crowd ate it up though. And when the whole vision he concocted was defeated by simple reality they switched to other boogeymen to frighten the people. In that, the playbook never really changes.
