had they failed on 4th on that series, Mizzou gets the ball already in FG range. Iowa has a good punter. He did his job, the defense stopped Mizzou, and Iowa got the ball in excellent field position, down only 3, with a timeout and 1:54 to go.

Punting was clearly the right choice and it worked. Mizzou's defense stopped them.
