Sincerely doubt Izzy will be 1st team all SEC…

There are just too many great players in the conference.
Last year they picked 8 for the 1st team and 10 for the 2nd team. Don’t know if that is standard or if there was a tie in votes for the 2nd team.
Let’s see how Izzy does in conference play. Pretty sure not 24 ppg. Arky has had an awful non conference schedule. As good a player as she is, I think when the season is over there is little chance of her being considered one of the best 8 players in the SEC, not with so many players from top 25 teams like SC, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Kentucky being locks. Plus Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama.
Shoot, Vandy has 2 players in the top 17 in the nation in scoring at 23 and 20 ppg. Auburns best scorer is currently 14th in the nation at 23 ppg.
I think if her production doesn’t drop off significantly in SEC play Izzy has a decent chance to be 2nd team SEC. More than decent. But there are just too many great players competing for the top 8 players in the conference for her to have a realistic chance of 1st team all SEC.
I’d love it if she proved me wrong. Darn you and some others for making me say anything mildly uncomplimentary about her, lol. One of my favorite players.
But as the far and away best scorer on a bad team, the other teams in the SEC are absolutely going to scheme and target her and do their best to shut her down and take her out of the game, as she is the only visible threat Arky has.
