In 1989 Mark Rypien finished 4th in the NFL in passing yards with 3,768. He made $300k in salary that season.
And while Rodney Peete had a terrible year as the Lions starting QB his salary that year was $115k. That is crazy that just 35 years ago a starting NFL qb was barely making $100k.
