Simpleton and quite certain didn’t follow analytics. But he also would talk about how rebounding margin is not relevant when you take the ball away from them before they shoot, negating a rebound opportunity. They took 4 more shots than us, and we had 9 more free throw attempts. So their rebounding advantage didn’t translate into an unbalanced opportunity to score.

The key is keeping them off the offensive glass. That is backbreaking. Particularly when we have considerably more size and athleticism than the opponent and are playing at home. They effectively negated our assist to turnover performance with superior offensive rebounding.
