How about the job done by the NCAA seeding committee.
Here are the regional seeds for the final eight teams in the tourney:
#1 seeds four teams
#2 seeds three teams
#3 seeds one team
The only #2 seed that did not make the final eight was SMU. Beaten by your own beloved #7 seed.
