Hatred is usually destructive, but sports rivalries are the exception. Hating ku is purifying, clarifying, and the highest form of good. Beating them at their one claim to meaningful identity is magnificent. Sending a former Columbia kid back to lawrence with the sting of a loss and the roar of Mizzou Arena echoing in his head is glorious. Taking a pity time out with 7 seconds left so all those magnificent bastards could slither off the court was masterful.
Kudos students for being loud and disruptive the entire day. For those who bought into the contrived Arkansas "rivalry", welcome to the real thing and never forget it. Learn and embrace William Quantrill's greatest moment and the story of the original Missouri Tigers. And allow this glorious feeling to ignite and feed within you the noble and majestic hatred that must be rightly aimed at the mythical Satanic chickens and all who will not recant their allegiance to such filth.
Coach Gates and team, thank you for one that secures your legacy for decades to come. That was simply amazing.
