The Purpose of DOGE

There hasn't been an official federal budget since Obama's first year in office. Instead, we have the continuing resolutions that have acquired a HUGE amount of fat over the years. Trying to get back to a real needs-based budget has been a game of chicken over the threat of shutting down government spending. Exposing the waste in the CR approach through DOGE will give the President political leverage for the budget process as it should be over the wasteful CRs.
