Keep an advantage and act on it. Let alone, keep an advantage permanently.
While the Republican party is the party of Lincoln, Reagan and Trump and it is also the party of Romney, McCain and Liz Cheney. The party that could screw up a one car parade. The American electorate is stupid, easily lead and manipulated. It could be easily turned by the next Bron Obama, or some equally charming Marxist Masquerading as a patriot who might be, "just slightly left of center".
Plus the filibuster is a good idea.
