Next up for WBB, SMU on Thursday…

In the SEC/ACC challenge.
Nice to see we got matched up with a team our own size. We were picked 15th out of 16 teams in the SEC, and SMU was picked 16th out of 18 teams in the ACC.
For comparison sake, Syracuse, who crushed us, was picked to finish 11th in the ACC.
SMU comes in at 5-3 on the young season, with wins over powerhouses: Arkansas Pine Bluff, UT Arlington, Lamar, NC AT&T, and Western Michigan.
Their three losses are to Old Dominion by 9, Arizona St by 7, and Minnesota by 9. Minny is 9-0 on the year but has played a pathetic schedule.
This may be our best chance to beat a P4 team the entire year. As bad as Arky and Georgia are this year we have to play both those teams on the road.
We get SMU at home and I think we handle them pretty easily.
