But thirty years ago she was a mildly attractive twenty-something and there were a number of older men willing to help her in return for personal attention. Today she is just another fifty-something. There are very few men in positions that could elevate her. Of those who could and are willing to play that game none would be looking at her when they can have their pick of younger more attractive women willing to offer the same services.
With Kamala's choice for professional advancement there truley is a glass ceiling because the number of men powerful enough to actually help you gets much smaller while your ability to attract them is greatly reduced.
