I was there for it his two seasons as MU quarterback, 1989 and 1990. I just remember it being bad, but I didn't recall how bad it was:
1989 Missouri Tigers football
Conference Big Eight Conference
Record 2–9 (1–6 Big 8)
1990 Missouri Tigers football
Conference Big Eight Conference
Record 4–7 (2–5 Big 8)
Those were dark days at Faurot Field my friends. Harpos at halftime was a frequent rallying cry. Football season provided good opportunities to get hammered and passed the time until basketball season.
Not Kiefer's fault obviously.
This year is a mild disappointment relative to expectations but we still have a really good football team that has been by and large fun to watch.
ADDENDUM: I was also there for two years of Woody's wagon:
1987 Missouri Tigers football
Conference Big Eight Conference
Record 5–6 (3–4 Big 8)
1986 Missouri Tigers football
Conference Big Eight Conference
Record 3–8 (2–5 Big 8)
I also was there an extra year in 1991:
1991 Missouri Tigers football
Conference Big Eight Conference
Record 3–7–1 (1–6 Big 8)
