The biggest money makiing event in college sports is the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament. No question that college football wants the 12 team playoff to be it's equivalent. Records, strength of schedule, etc. be damned, it's a school's TV following that's most important. Gotta generate those ratings, sell those commercials, collect those pay TV fees!
