Garcia was unnecessary but a no risk chance. Did not fit the mold for Drink. Way too many mistakes.

Johnson might be a player but wasn’t going to wait and it was clear that waiting was in order. Maybe he saw Horn, not just Cook in his way.

Pyne….needed somebody. Better resume than most transfers.

Blood….irrelevant

Glover….closer to Macon than a major D1 QB but we’ll see….maybe

Horn… probably the only reason we got him is because we agreed to let him play baseball. A better overall talent than anybody else on the list, but there are questions that maybe he’s too “stiff“ and lack fluidity and touch.

Zollers… we don’t know as much about him, but in the high school film I have seen he looks like more of a runner than a passer and that’s not good for a guy coming off of a major leg break.


One thing we know about Coach Drink, and his quarterbacks, is that he is absolutely willing to forsake some ceiling in order to avoid the lower floor. A high risk, high reward type guy is not something he is going to tolerate. It’s why he likes Brady Cook so much.
