The Big One and SEC with Fox Sports and Disney ESPN command the best TV deals in college football, the most lucrative.
Revenue will be more and more critical in the future, i.e.:
(1) the pending settlement of the anti-trust litigation brought by former playoers against the members of the five largest conferences requires the schools to compensate all players in the future.
(2) coaching compensation is climbing, i.e.Drink's and his staff's salaries compared to prior MU staffs; and
(3) capital improvements must be funded, i.e. Mizzou's 250 million North End Zone project will undoubtedly be paid for in part, perhaps wholly with borrowed funds which have to be repaid plus interest.
