I agree with him, though I still watch it through a 50 year habit. It's simply not the college basketball of my youth. It's a semi-professional version of pick up basketball. Like college football, its only purpose is to generate funds for a state university. In my days in Columbia taxpayers funded the university. Since the 'Reagan Revolution' those taxpayers, esp the rural ones, have said FUKK YOU to paying for such things. In other words rural Missourians got what they wanted.
