injury. And Pyne's progression at the end of the game was more comfort than completely new play calling in the 2nd half. Getting more reps in practice and more comfortable in general.
Reasons for believing those things:
1. I'm a massive homer
2. Cook was a really good QB last year and I have a hard time believing he just all the sudden lost it.
3. Pyne was a good QB and started for Notre Dame. It would be a massive fall from grace for him to go from starter at ND to as bad as he's been.
