But one thing I really like about Slaughter this year as opposed to last year is she is getting to the foul line.
In just 4 games she’s been to the foul line 19 times, hitting 16-19 for 84%.
In 30 games last year she got to the foul line a total of just 36 times (and shot 81%), which is insane, and not in a good way, for a player with her size and skill and ability to drive to the bucket.
She should dominate against the kinds of teams we’ve played (and will continue playing) in non conference. Will she do this against far better teams when SEC play starts? That’s the question.
