On the other hand, in this age of NIL, who knows what silly people can be temporarily elevated beyond their abilities - look at the LSU coach who won a natty under Burrows.

'Developing QBs' is a myth.
By the time they hit 18 they're either going to do it or not and that's going to happen in game time, not practice.
The position is far too difficult to master in a few years of college practice, you have to live it in the decade before that.
So what does that mean? It means the University of Missouri has a recruitment issue at the QB position and it comes down to NIL money.
We'll have to pay extra to attract top talent to a non-blue blood program - as long as the fans and the AD fully understand that and take appropriate action, we'll be fine...
