it's not all that hard:
1. inflation hurts and america was caught up in it due to influx of government money during covid.
2. everyone is tired as hell of identity politics/injustice to trans, muslims, women, whomever;
3. abortion is down the priority list for most americans and her chest thumping didn't gain interest;
4. her economic message was ignorant of economic fundamentals: price controls, taxing unrealized gains, etc.
5. she was not vetted through a primary system, i.e. biden got out too late.
