Trends do matter but so does expendable income. When I was younger and married with two kids we would go out to eat a lot or fast food because we were always doing something. a lot of younger couples do not have that expendable income. Red Lobster is just as expensive as Bone Fish. I wish that I had all the money that I spent at Mcdonald's or Kelso's invested I would have a vacation home on the Italian Riviera.
