Mizzou VB up to a 5 seed in bracket projections…

Updated bracketology came out late yesterday on VolleyTalk and has Missouri on the 5 seed line. We were on the 8 seed line little over a week ago.
Here are the projected seed lines for SEC teams:
3 Texas
4 Kentucky
4 TAMU
5 Missouri
6 Florida
7 Auburn
8 SC
Ole Miss and Tennessee are projected to get bids but not be in the top 32 seeds, and are in the “last 5 teams in” group.
Oklahoma is in the first 5 teams out group, on the wrong side of the bubble. For now.
There are really only 5 locks for SEC teams making the tournament right now. Auburns numbers are still solid but they are on a 5 match losing streak and if they don’t pull out of it they could be in trouble. SC, Ole Miss, Tennessee and OU are true bubble teams.
Will be interesting to see where we land on the RPI ranking tomorrow, and the AVCA poll. We were at 24 in RPI rank last Monday, I’d expect to see a bump there. We were the 4th team out of the top 25 in the AVCA poll last Monday, I expect to see us getting a lot more support and points there, but really no one above us has done anything to merit us passing them. Still, the win at Texas opened a lot of eyes I think.
