I honestly didn’t see this happening…

I would have been happy going 2-1 on this road trip. Really amazing performance last night. Could put a new perspective on the season. We were in great shape to get a second straight NCAA bid. Now, if we take care of business at home the rest of the way and win the matches we will be favored in, it’s conceivable we could be looking at a 13-3 SEC record and being in the discussion for a top 16 seed. A lot of matches to be played before that becomes a possibility though.

How do we respond coming off this huge, potentially season changing upset? Do we keep improving, keep our edge? Something tells me yes. It was really great last night to see one team that kept calm and focused and confident throughout, both players and coach, and they were the ones wearing the Mizzou colors, in one of the toughest environments in college volleyball.

Have to be extra happy for Crownover, you know this match meant something extra to her. She was a fantastic pickup by Sullivan, who herself is showing that same quality that the Kreklows had, the ability to mix together high school recruits with key transfers (Sands, Vernon, Crownover and others) to put together teams that can challenge for top 16 seeds.
