Instead we basically not only shut down most of the country, we also paid people 600 bucks a week to stay home and do nothing for far too long.

Then we told them they don't have to pay their bills either (even though they had the money).

Would there have been a big economic slowdown, yes. Would it have been as bad as it was, no. And it set everything up for a hyperinflationary recovery.

And the Dems went along with it as well, and kept it going under Biden.
