Bama can't afford to fire him even if they wanted to. Venables' buyout is 44 million. These super agents absolutely have shifted the landscape of the sport with these ridiculous contracts.
That being said, Deboer should get at least a second year regardless. He has a very good recruiting class coming in, and Milroe turned out to be a pretty mediocre QB which isn't Deboer's fault.
