Consider this, Obama's platform from just a few years back would be a right-of-center platform today. Bill Clinton's would likely be viewed as alt-right today.

The middle and the right have both moved slightly to the left over the past couple of decades. The mainstream left today would have been viewed as crackpots just a few years back.

Each of the following are relatively normal stances of the left that would have been unthinkable twenty years ago.

Open Borders
Sex changes for minors
Biological males in women's sports
Free health care for illegals
Ending private health care
Allowing illegals to vote
Abortion on demand
