I grew up near this area. Kansas City address, Raytown schools. There is some pretty, rolling-wooded acreage and a few cool subdivisions. I grew up on a house in the area backing to a small lake. Good neighbors, some professional some blue collar. My Raytown Class of 1988 sent at least 25 to 40 to Mizzou. Times have changed, but it’s still not bad for young families looking for reasonable housing. Regarding Rickey Road, it was scary as ****, many curves and hills, and hard to navigate. I drove it a few months ago and they have appeared to have widened it and added a few street lights. Regarding the area, Ess Road in Lees Summit is very similar to Rickey Road. Don’t drive to fast or you will end up in a ditch or injured.
