It's total viewers for the season but doesn't include conference networks. That's why there are so many more games for Big 12 teams since it's the only power conference without its own network.
So the two games measured for Mizzou are A&M (31-point margin) and UMass (42-point margin). Not exactly close games to keep a TV audience tuning in and in the case of UMass an opponent that draws viewers.
Despite that, Mizzou's per game average would be better than everyone except Colorado and Kansas State.
And Kansas State is only ahead of Mizzou because it got to play Colorado while Mizzou was playing UMass.
