confidence that his shot is going in, just stand there smelling his armpit. I remember it being drilled in our head clear back in Boys Club basketball. I was the littlest guy on the court, but was still down there trying to block people out for a rebound. Sometimes the ball comes right back in your direction!

Here the ball is in the defensive players hands before Aidan stops sniffing his pit. Grill comes from the same spot on the opposite end of the floor and at least makes an effort. He doesn't get the ball, but we know which of the two has been the better rebounder! Effort and fundamenals.

Again, the tallest guy on the floor(and worst shooter) is out their shooting 3's, while our "PF" is strangely making little effort to box out. Aidan is still smelling that pit until the ball is in the defenders hand!

Sometimes if you follow the shot to the basket, other players will just be half assing it, and it works out perfect.
