Serial-killers can be stone-cold stoics.

People with the right argument can get overwhelmed with the subject matter (child-trafficking anyone?)

The amount of emotion with which the message is delivered is separate from it's correctness - correctness is the most important thing and emotion may or may not be effective depending on audience.

Dismissing emotional messages because they are emotional is equally irrational.
